Congratulations all the U11 players who took part in the U11 Intercounty Festival on Sunday 5th May and made it such a successful event for Middlesex. The official results will be coming through in due course.
We had a great day with everyone getting five games of squash. We could see the players improving as the day went on; particularly the younger ones.
There were 8 teams in 2 pools. The Middlesex 2nd team (with two Sussex players) stepped in at short notice to replace Suffolk, and were in the same pool as Middlesex 1sts.
The first team won their pool beating both Hampshire and Kent. In a very tight semi-final cross-over they lost to Sussex having had match points to win; then in an equally tight 3rd/4th place play-off, lost to Kent whom they had previously beaten. The second team players had a couple of close matches in their cross-over and even won a string in the playoff.
Everyone had great fun, learned a lot from the day, and really began to feel part of the Middlesex team. They are looking forward to the National Intercounty Tournament in Manchester on 22nd-23rd June when a girls and a boys team of three players will be competing.

Congratulations to all Middlesex Squash Junior players who recently played in the English Junior Championships at Wimbledon and Guildford.
It was fantastic to see Middlesex had a record number of players making it into the British Junior Open 2013 in Sheffield.
This is the most prestigious individual tournament in the world. Currently the Egyptians, Malaysians, Pakistan are dominating Junior Squash.
